Bølgen & Moi was another restaurant on my list. I decided to bring Elise – a friend of mine back in Brussels – for her first night here when she came to visit me in Oslo.
The place is located in the spacious Aker Brygge, which gathers the most trendy restaurants in Oslo (Alex Sushi, Olivia, Onda, …).
We were warmly welcomed when entering the restaurant, and what I liked most were the light bulbs hanging on the ceiling, which made the atmosphere very cosy.
We ordered the “catch of the day”, which was halibut with spinach, shrimps, salmon roe, potatoes, and beurre blanc on the top. As I told Elise, the fish here in Norway has nothing to do with the one you can find in Belgium for example. So of course, the dish was delicious.
However, the serving size was – in our views – way to small, which brought us to eat two plates of bread with the remaining “beurre blanc” of our dish.
We also took a dessert, which was baked apples with vanilla cream and crispy puff pastry.
